About the School

Our History

United School started its journey in 2001, being the first and only private certified language school in Montijo to engage exclusively in the teaching of languages for all ages. Since then we have expanded the school facilities by moving to a new location in 2005. In 2019 we expanded again by doubling our number of classrooms.

Our commitment to innovative teaching has been the basic premise that encourages and promotes the continued growth and sustainability of our school and has firmly established a creditable reputation, throughout the years.

Our innovative teaching methods are effective in making the process of learning a new language a very rewarding and enriching experience. The courses are updated and designed according to the parameters of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages and also accredited by DGERT which shows the commitment of our school to offer its students the highest standards of educational quality.

Our Experience

United School is the only language institute in Montijo certified by DGERT (Direcção-Geral do Emprego e das Relações de Trabalho) and a Cambridge English Preparation Centre.

Our courses are structured according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages codes of practice, ensuring that you receive high quality teaching, providing an unrivalled range of language courses: English, French, German, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese for Foreigners as well as specially tailored courses for business, technical and administrative personnel working in the various professional sectors. We have also developed curriculum enrichment activities for after school programs in various private and public schools.
We not only teach at our own premises but also provide courses based within organizations or firms who request our services for individual or group classes. We combine courses with exceptional teaching standards and a strong commitment to our students' welfare.

Language Courses

The majority of our language courses adopt a flexible approach to teaching, with courses focusing on students practising their language skills. You can learn in a class or on a one-to-one basis, whatever suits you best.
