United School Language Institute offers preparation for all of the University of Cambridge Exams. The University of Cambridge examinations are proof of your language abilities by more than 10,000 employers, universities and government bodies around the world.

KET – Key English Test

Is Cambridge ESOL's exam which recognises the ability to deal with everyday written and spoken English at a basic level. Level A2 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR))

PET - Preliminary English Test

Is an exam for people who can use everyday written and spoken English at an intermediate level. It covers all four language skills — reading, writing, listening and speaking. It deals with most of the situations you might meet when travelling as a tourist in an English-speaking country. Level B1 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR)

FCE - First Certificate in English

Is an exam for people who can use everyday written and spoken English at an upper-intermediate level. It is an ideal exam for people who want to use English for work or study purposes. Level B2 Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR)

CAE – Certificate in Advanced English

Is an exam for advanced users of English. This exam is aimed at people who can use written and spoken English for most professional and social purposes. It's recognized by the majority of Universities as fulfilling the English entrance language requirements. Level C1 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR)

CPE – Certificate of Proficiency in English

Is Cambridge ESOL's most advanced exam. CPE is an international exam, recognised by hundreds of employers as proof of proficiency in English and also by universities and colleges as proof of ability to study in English to undergraduate level. Level C2 Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR)

BEC - Business English Certificates

United School also prepares its students for The Business English Certificates which are internationally recognised qualifications that show employers your skills for using English in the workplace. BEC is an ideal English language exam if you are preparing for a career in business. There are three different levels of BEC: BEC Preliminary, BEC Vantage and BEC Higher. BULATS – Business Language Testing Services

For companies and individuals who need a rapid, accurate means of assessing language skills for recruitment, training, benchmarking and staff development, BULATS offers:

ILEC - The International Legal English Certificate

Is an internationally recognised benchmark test of language ability. Cambridge ILEC was created to meet the needs of both employers and lawyers. It is also suitable for law students intending to follow courses which include significant English language content — either in their own country or abroad. Levels B2 and C1 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR)

ICFE - International Certificate in Financial English

This certificate can be used as proof of the ability in English necessary to work in an international finance context or to follow a course of accountancy or finance study at university level. Levels B2 and C1 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR)

IELTS —International English Language Testing System

The tests are designed to cover the full range of ability from non–user to expert user. Test takers receive a score of 0–9, with 0 being for those who did not attempt the test, and 9 being for the most proficient users. Most universities accept scores between 6–7 as being suitable for undergraduate study in English.

Cambridge exams are usually administered three times a year. United School can prepare you for any of the above exams, inform you of the exam dates and help with registration.
